Sustainability

Starts With You

The ocean, a finely tuned ecosystem, is intricately designed to nurture and sustain marine wildlife. To enable these creatures to thrive, it is crucial to provide secure sanctuaries free from the detrimental impacts of pollution, destructive fishing gear, plastics, and other marine debris. These threats not only endanger marine wildlife but also disrupt their habitats.

Our Mission

Our mission is to safeguard the environment, protect vulnerable marine wildlife, and halt the degradation of global ocean habitats. Through education and advocacy, we strive to raise public awareness regarding the threats posed by unregulated and overfishing, as well as pollution. By preserving and safeguarding the environment and oceans, we recognize that we are not only protecting marine life but also ensuring the well-being of the human race and securing a sustainable future for generations to come.

At least half of Earth’s oxygen comes from the oceans

.Scientists estimate that 50-80% of the oxygen production on Earth comes from the ocean. The majority of this production is from oceanic plankton — drifting plants, algae, and some bacteria that can photosynthesize. One particular species, Prochlorococcus, is the smallest photosynthetic organism on Earth. But this little bacteria produces up to 20% of the oxygen in our entire biosphere. That’s a higher percentage than all of the tropical rainforests on land combined.
